Get Rid of Large Pores:
One of the most requested topics
I was asked to write about is large pores on face.
What’s the reality of these pores?
Pores are the hair follicle
openings, serve for perspiration (sweating) and help to remove toxins from the
skin.
Each pore has a sebaceous gland
which secretes sebum (the oily material on our skin).
Pores make our skin waterproof to
keep it hydrated and don’t letting the water out to prevent dehydration.
Are your large pores genetic?
The answer is Yes and No at the same time.
Mostly people have pores due to
their genes. And some have due to other reasons discussed below.
Our genes decide that what will
be the size of our pores.
If your parents or anyone of them
has larger pores then there are more chances that you will have the same size
of pores.
Mostly males have larger pores
than females.
Females get larger pores due to
hormonal imbalance especially during menstruations.
Why do our pores get bigger?
Causes:
Apart from genetics, if you have
larger pores then they are due to these following reasons:
Oily skin
Aging
How oily skin makes our pores larger?
People with oily skin tend to get
larger pores. Whenever our skin gets oily, its hospitality for dirt increases.
Oil and dirt get accumulated in
our pores and the skin around our pores swells consequently our pores look
larger.
Are pimples responsible for large pores?
The causes of acne are somehow
the symptoms of enlarged pores. When dirt and bacteria clog the pores, the oil
within the pore builds up to make room. When the oil can’t expand any further,
it results in acne. Pimples stretch out your pores.
But this is not true in all
cases. Sometimes the small divots from acne scarring look exactly like pores.
This leads to a major misconception.
How aging effect the size of pores?
Older people are more likely to
get larger pores then the younger ones.
This is because when someone gets
older, their skin loses its elasticity. And as a result the pores get larger.
Sun Damage:
Agged skin is more exposed to sun
and the harmful UV rays from sun are another factor for large pores.
Can you really shrink large pores?
If you don’t have genetically
large pores then you can make your pores shrink.

it.

- Now take a clean ice cube tray.
- And pour the mixture into each
section in equal quantity.
- Put the tray in refrigerator.
- Take out the tray after 2 to 3
hours.

your face.
Note:
If you have sensitive skin, cover
the ice cube in a clean piece of cloth before using it on your face.
How often should you use this?
You should rub one ice cube of
this aloe-rose mixture daily.
Use it regularly and you will notice
a clear difference.
Benefits:
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a medicinal plant
which helps to remove toxins and oil from the skin. It has healing and soothing
properties. It tightens the skin and reduces the pores’ size. It prevents
pimple swelling. And it is a best thing for skin hydration and softness.
Rosewater:
I have already discussed the
benefits and uses of rose water in my previous blog
Benefits
of Rosewater. Rosewater acts as a best natural toner for skin. It tightens
up wrinkles and brings your skin’s elasticity back.
Things you can do to avoid large skin pores?
There are a lot of things in our
daily life that we are doing in a wrong way. And it causes pores to appear enlarged.
- We use makeup products to hide
our enlarged pores but instead they get more prominent especially when it is
not washed off properly.
- Makeup accumulated around our
pores, making our skin thick and as a result our pores get more prominent.
- Don’t sleep without removing your
makeup.
- Remove your makeup properly;
otherwise it will accumulate in the pores.
- Cleanse your skin every night
before going to bed. It will help to moisturize your skin and it will act as a
barrier between your skin and unwanted oils and dirt particles.
- You can also use a toner (if you
are not using that aloe-rose cube).
- Exfoliate your skin twice a week
as it will remove dead skin cells. You can read my previous blog on benefits
and method of exfoliation. How
to Exfoliate Your Body?
Note:
You can use these Aloe-rose ice cubes all over your body.
